Experienced Tax Staff / Senior - Private Equity and Real Estate

Responsibilities

• Learning technical tax topics related to highly complex, multi-tiered, private equity and real estate private equity investment structures.
• Prepare and review structure charts depicting highly complex, multi-tiered, investment structures.
• Work with Big 4 compliance teams to address compliance related matters and issues.
• Prepare correspondences from taxing authorities.
• Identify accounting and income tax issues and propose strategies to resolve them.
• Perform tax technical research as needed.
• Learn and effectively utilize firm tax software to continually learn, share knowledge, and enhance the quality of service to clients.
• Work closely with a team and communicate job status with all levels of the engagement team.
• Complete assigned projects within engagement timeline and budget guidelines.
• Develop strong relationships with firm professionals at all levels.
• Participate in firm trainings, recruiting events, and firm activities.
• Work with your buddy and performance manager on professional development of both technical and soft skills.
• Work on ad hoc projects assigned by your supervisors.

Requirements

• Undergraduate or Master's degree in accounting.
• CPA license or demonstrated progress toward licensure.
• Real estate or private equity experience a plus.
• At least one year of tax preparation or consulting experience.
• Strong technical aptitude and evidence of effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to learn in a fast-paced environment and receptive to feedback and coaching.
• Able to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, and take initiative on projects.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple assignments in a hybrid environment.
• Proficient in utilizing firm technology to enhance client service.
• High attention to detail.
• A positive attitude and a team player mentality with a can-do spirit.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer programs; GoSystem experience is a plus.
