About the role

As an Experienced Tax Associate, you’ll gain deep industry insight. You’ll be able to sit across the table from a CFO from your industry and speak their language. You will become a true industry consultant.

CLA is looking to hire an Experienced Tax Associate to join our Sacramento tax practice!

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax returns with the tax team.
• Handle routine client tax questions and work with clients to collect necessary information for tax return completion and compliance.
• Complete tax-related research and special projects as needed.
• Prepare simple tax returns.
• Develop and train team interns to help them build inspired careers.
• Work with many great clients to help them resolve complex issues and get results.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least one year of experience in a tax role with a public accounting firm.
• Active CPA license (or EA) or are eligible to sit for the CPA exams and meet the 150-credit requirement to obtain a CPA license.

Pay

The compensation range for this position in CA is $65,000.00 - $110,000.00. Factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and knowledge may impact position of pay within the range.
