Position Responsibilities

Represents Quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation.
Promotes Quality interpretation of requirements.
Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for small programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.
Capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities.
Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
Affords assistance in development of new standards repairs for non-conformances.
Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
Performs analysis, tests and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
Proposes corrective actions to address non-conformances.
Carries out benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.
Applies advanced Supplier Quality prevention tools including Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Lean and Six Sigma.
Leads cross-functional Requirements Reviews and Capability Assessments at BDS suppliers.
Affords assistance in the evaluation of new technology and manufacturing process deployment readiness at suppliers.
Performs special capability approvals to ensure technical readiness, capability and supplier process controls are established.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 3+ years of experience leading or managing projects and/or teams
  • 3+ years of experience working in Quality, Supplier Quality or Supplier Management
  • 3+ years of experience with root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA) and failure analysis
  • Experience presenting technical briefings to various audiences
  • Experience collecting, organizing, synthesizing, and analyzing data, then summarizing findings; developing conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard
  • Certified Quality Manager or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) Certifications
  • 3+ years of experience working closely with other engineering disciplines in an integrated team environment
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing quality assurance or supplier quality related roles
