About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Security Officer to join our team. This position offers promotion opportunities, meal/snack provision, paid time off, and continuous learning opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Deter criminal activity and misconduct
• Respond to alarms, calls of distress, or emergencies
• Make periodic patrols to check for unsafe conditions
• Prepare clear, concise, accurate reports
• Operate access control systems and utilize computer for incident reports
• Demonstrate strong customer service skills and professional demeanor
• Manage multiple tasks and perform in a high-pressure environment

Requirements

• Prior law enforcement experience, military and/or corrections experience
• Valid state licensing, if applicable
• 21 years of age and High School Diploma or equivalent
• Pass a criminal background check and drug test
• Technology skills: operate access control system, utilize computer for incident reports, operate security software systems or applications, use email
• Strong customer service skills, professional demeanor, and appearance
• Experience managing multiple tasks, executing radio and telephone communications, and performing in a medium to high-pressure environment
• Familiarity with report writing
• Excellent surveillance and observation skills
• Possess above average written and verbal communication skills
• Possess strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to interact effectively with client staff and the public
• Trained in CPR and First Aid preferred

Qualifications

• Two years of customer service experience
• Two years of security experience
• Law Enforcement Experience
• Corrections Experience
• Military Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or related field
