Experienced Sterile Processing Technician - Part Time Flex - Day Shift

Essentia Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to serve at St. Mary's Hospital in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.

Schedule

• 24 hours weekly (flex position; hours may be increased or decreased without notice based on facility needs)
• Day shift, Monday through Friday
• Shift options: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, or 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
• No weekend, holiday, or on-call rotations required

Pay

• Tech I (non-certified): $18.16 – $27.24 per hour based on experience
• Tech II (certified): $19.28 – $28.92 per hour based on experience
• $3,000 sign-on incentive for qualifying applicants ($1,500 after 30 days and $1,500 after 2 years)

Responsibilities

• Reprocess reusable surgical instruments and patient care equipment for use in surgery and throughout various nursing units
• Ensure clean, safe, sterile instruments and equipment are available to hospital staff for patient care

Requirements

• Prior experience in sterile processing is required

Qualifications

• Tech I: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) within 2 years of hire
• Tech II: Current certification as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD)
