Experienced Software Developer Engineer (P-8 Mission Systems)

Position Responsibilities

• Reviews, analyzes, and translates customer requirements into initial design of software products.
• Designs, develops, tests, and maintains mission software throughout the lifecycle that meets customer requirements.
• Participates in lab integration, debug, and test.
• Investigates and resolves issues identified to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software products.
• Follows and improves software processes.
• Executes and documents software research and development projects.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance (US Citizenship required)
• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, mathematics, data science, or computer science
• 3 or more years of engineering work experience in: Java (preferred), C++ or C programming language experience
• Exposure to Object Oriented Design
• Troubleshooting S/W issues in a complex environment
• Linux and Windows development environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 5+ years of related work experience
• OR Bachelor’s Degree and 9+ years of directly related work experience
• OR 13+ years of related, relevant experience
• Agile software development processes
• Jira, git, Bit Bucket
• Scripting languages: XML, Perl, Python
• Experience in Weapons Integration on military platforms
• Software Architecture experience
• Software Requirements experience
• Interface design and control document experience
• Supporting contractual deliverables
• Development of User Interface design
• Experience with validation and verification processes

Summary Pay Range

$135,150 - $182,850

Security Clearance

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
