Experienced Shift Manager

About the role

A McDonald’s Certified Swing Manager oversees daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts, ensuring the restaurant operates safely, efficiently, and in full alignment with McDonald’s brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Directs crew members, assigns positions, and manages floor operations to deliver an exceptional customer experience across all channels.
• Maintains speed of service, order accuracy, food quality, and hospitality to ensure every guest receives fast, friendly, and accurate service.
• Enforces food safety procedures, proper handwashing, time and temperature controls, equipment maintenance, and cleanliness standards.
• Monitors and takes corrective action on standards not met.
• Manages labor deployment to support sales volume while controlling costs.
• Maintains cleanliness and order in the restaurant, monitors waste, completes product counts, and protects company assets.
• Trains and coaches crew members on procedures, service behaviors, and brand standards.
• Communicates with the General Manager and other leadership team members regarding shift performance, staffing needs, equipment issues, and customer concerns.
• Documents incidents, resolves guest complaints professionally, and ensures follow-up when needed.

Qualifications

The Certified Swing Manager must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Training and certification are provided by McDonald’s. Previous experience in a leadership role is preferred but not required.
