Experienced Shift Manager
About the role
A McDonald’s Certified Swing Manager oversees daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts, ensuring the restaurant operates safely, efficiently, and in full alignment with McDonald’s brand standards.
Responsibilities
- Directs crew members, assigns positions, and manages floor operations to deliver an exceptional customer experience across all channels.
- Maintains speed of service, order accuracy, food quality, and hospitality to ensure every guest receives fast, friendly, and accurate service.
- Enforces food safety procedures, proper handwashing, time and temperature controls, equipment maintenance, and cleanliness standards.
- Manages labor deployment to support sales volume while controlling costs.
- Monitors waste, completes product counts as required, and protects company assets by following cash-handling and security procedures.
- Trains and coaches crew members on procedures, service behaviors, and brand standards.
- Communicates effectively with the General Manager and other leadership team members regarding shift performance, staffing needs, equipment issues, and customer concerns.
Qualifications
The Certified Swing Manager must have a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a valid driver’s license. Previous experience in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment is preferred, but not required. Training will be provided for those without prior experience.
