Experienced Service Technician

Job Description

Group 1 Ford of Amarillo is seeking an Experienced Automotive Service Technician to diagnose and repair vehicle transmissions and driveline components. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in an automotive technician role and Ford Certifications or ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics and complex repairs on all vehicle systems
• Use manufacturer and dealership diagnostic tools effectively
• Execute warranty repairs to Ford specifications
• Conduct road tests and ensure repair accuracy
• Support and mentor lower-level technicians
• Maintain documentation and service records
• Ensure compliance with dealership and manufacturer standards

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in an automotive technician role
• Ford Certifications preferred
• ASE certifications preferred
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Excellent attention to detail and teamwork
