Experienced Security Officer

About the role

Securitas Security is hiring experienced Security Officers for full-time positions in Edwardsville, IL. The role involves providing excellent service for clients and their guests while adhering to core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness.

Responsibilities

• Provide conflict resolution and de-escalation services.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or suspicious activity.
• Ensure post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties as required for assigned sites.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old to qualify for a PERC Security Officer License in Illinois.
• Able to walk on uneven terrain and walk up/down flights of stairs.
• This position is 75% to 80% standing/walking.
• Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
• Reliable transportation and communication device.
• Minimum High School Diploma or GED, or willingness to complete GED within six months.
• Basic computer and technology skills.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills.
• Calm and professional demeanor in stressful situations.
• Great attention to detail and vigilant throughout shift.
• Ability to respond to emergencies with rapid and effective judgment.

Qualifications

• Legal right to work in the United States.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills are a plus.

Pay

$18.50 per hour.

Schedule

The position is available for 2nd and 3rd shifts, including weekends and holidays. Day shift positions are not available.
