About the role
The Venous Access Team at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a passion for vascular access.
Responsibilities
- Placement and care of various venous access devices
- Advising on the most appropriate vascular access options
- Managing devices such as temporary lines, PICC lines, tunneled catheters, and indwelling chest ports
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients’ clinical profiles to recommend optimal vascular access solutions
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred
- 1-3 years related work experience required
Qualifications
- License Registered Nurse required
- American Heart Association – Basic Life Support Certificate required

- Ability to make decisions guided by general instructions and practices requiring some interpretation
- Ability to address problems that are varied, requiring analysis or interpretation of the situation using direct observation, knowledge and skills based on general precedents
- Ability to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical experience in caring for patients

- Ability to provide patient care to neonatal, young adult, middle age, and elderly patients
- Ability to work in a variety of environments, including those with adverse environmental conditions, infectious diseases, and bloodborne pathogens
- Ability to perform medium work tasks, including standing, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing/pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds

Pay
$38.00 - $98.19 per hour
Schedule
Day/Night rotating schedule with 2 weeks days, 2 weeks nights, and every 3rd weekend. Combination of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts.
