About the role

Kershner Trading Group and SMB Capital are seeking Experienced Quantitative Portfolio Managers / Strategists for the U.S. equity market and Crypto currency.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize new trading strategies using advanced quantitative methods including AI, ML, NLP, portfolio optimization, time series prediction, factor analysis, and fundamental equity valuation.
  • Utilize rich datasets such as tick data, fundamental datasets, sentiment analysis, and alternative datasets within a state-of-the-art research environment.
  • Collaborate with a cutting-edge data platform, high-performance research and trading infrastructure, investment capital, and trader coaching/support.
  • Deploy and manage trading strategies from inception, including intraday strategies and medium to high-frequency trading.
  • Work in a collaborative research environment with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, exceptional work ethic, and strong analytical skills.
  • Experience with futures, FX, and international equity trading is a plus.

Requirements

  • An MS or PhD in an Engineering or Pure Science discipline with expertise in alpha research, portfolio construction, risk management, and trade execution.
  • A proficiency in Python (preferred) and/or C++, C#, Java, or R.
  • A recent track record or direct contribution to profitable systematic trading strategies or processes in U.S. equities and cryptos.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills and a passion for quantitative finance.
  • Experience with machine learning, natural language processing, and portfolio optimization.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Skills

  • Quantitative research and strategy development.

  • Programming in Python, C++, C#, Java, or R.
  • Trading strategy deployment and management.
