About the role

Renaissance Pet Resort & Spa is an award-winning, full-service pet care facility with over 20 years of experience serving pets and their families. We are currently seeking experienced, reliable, and positive Pet Groomers and Bathers to join our professional salon team.

Responsibilities

• Shampooing, brushing, drying, hair cutting
• Nail trimming and dremeling
• Ear cleaning, teeth brushing, and gland expression
• Checking pets in and out using computer systems
• Scheduling grooming appointments
• Providing excellent customer service to pet parents
• Inspecting pets for signs of parasites, injury, or illness and reporting concerns to management
• Maintaining salon cleanliness, safety, and laundry
• Sanitizing all grooming tools, tubs, cages, and work areas
• Maintaining dryers and grooming equipment
• Selling retail items
• Communicating effectively with team members and management
• Working independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Paid experience as a groomer, stylist, or bather required (or accredited grooming school completion)
• Verifiable references required
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Detail oriented and able to multitask
• Calm under pressure with a positive attitude and sense of humor
• Comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes
• Able to lift and assist pets weighing 40–50 pounds
• Willing to ask questions, accept feedback, and follow established policies and procedures
