Experienced Pet Groomer

We’re hiring an experienced Pet Groomer to help pets look and feel their best while creating an exceptional experience for pet parents. Responsibilities

• Provide full-service grooming, including bathing, brushing, drying, trimming, clipping, and styling
• Groom dogs and, if experienced, cats
• Perform nail trims, ear cleaning, de-shedding treatments, and other grooming services
• Consult with pet parents about grooming preferences, coat condition, and individual pet needs
• Safely handle pets of different sizes, breeds, ages, and temperaments
• Monitor pets for signs of stress, discomfort, or health concerns
• Maintain accurate grooming notes and client preferences
• Clean and sanitize tools, tables, tubs, kennels, and workspaces between pets
• Help create an exceptional experience for pets and their people

Requirements

• At least one year of professional pet-grooming experience required
• Ability to complete full-service dog grooms independently
• Knowledge of different coat types, breed-specific cuts, and grooming techniques
• Strong animal-handling, grooming, and customer-service skills
• Reliability, organization, and attention to detail
• A strong commitment to pet safety, comfort, and care
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including one weekend day each week
• Portfolio or photos of previous grooming work preferred
• Cat-grooming experience is a plus but not required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive grooming movements
• Ability to safely lift and handle pets weighing up to 50 pounds
• Comfort working around pet hair, barking, water, cleaning products, and pet waste

Pay

Commission-based compensation. Full-time groomers typically earn $45,000–$70,000 per year. Actual earnings depend on schedule, availability, experience, productivity, services performed, and client demand.

Schedule

Weekdays and weekends. One weekend day required.
