About the role
Vallé, a Michelin-starred restaurant in the Guadalupe Valley, seeks a skilled Pastry Cook to join its team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a Michelin-starred setting and will be responsible for preparing all pastry products according to Valle's standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare all pastry products as trained in accordance to Valle Pastry standards
- Assist higher level culinary leaders
- Complete other duties as assigned by Chef
- Take direction from leaders and create a consistent product
- Operate in the restaurant's high expectation environment
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as pastry cook in a fine dining restaurant
- Preferably Michelin Star experience
- Fine-tuned detailed skills
- Able to work single station in the kitchen
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Great communication skills
- Able to perform repetitive duties
- Able to take direction for Supervisor and/or Manager
- Knowledge of kitchen hygiene and practices
- Occupational health and safety standards
- Able to work under pressure
- Available for AM and PM shifts
Pay
The hourly rate for this position ranges from $21.50/hr - $26.00/hr. This is the pay range for this position that The Seabird Resort reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual hourly pay rate will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.
