Experienced Paralegal - Third Party Sales
About the role
The experienced Paralegal will be primarily responsible for managing third-party foreclosure sales and supporting all related tasks. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of the foreclosure process, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle complex transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Oversee third-party sales, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and internal procedures.
- Cook up and manage all aspects of foreclosure sales, including pre-sale preparations and post-sale processes.
- Prepare and file legal documents related to foreclosure sales, such as motions, official notices, deeds, transfer/closing documents and miscellaneous correspondence.
- Analyze payment histories to calculate maximum bids, final figures and manage financial aspects of transactions.
- Organize and oversee auctions for co-op properties, ensuring all procedural requirements are met.
- Facilitate negotiations between involved parties, including attorneys, third-party buyers, and other stakeholders.
- Manage challenging interactions and maintain professional relationships with all parties involved.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on foreclosure sales or real estate transactions preferred.
- Strong understanding of the foreclosure process and relevant legal requirements.
- Excellent mathematical skills for calculating final figures and managing financial aspects.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
