Experienced Orthopedic Physician Assistant - Total Joint

About the role

The Novant Health Medical Group is seeking an experienced Orthopedic Physician Assistant to join a growing practice in Brunswick County, NC. The position supports a total joint surgeon and provides clinical care in an ambulatory and acute setting.

Responsibilities

• Seeing patients in the office setting
• Assisting in surgery and office procedures
• Evaluating orthopedic diagnoses
• Coordinating the patient care pathway
• Working collaboratively with surgeons and other healthcare professionals

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Physician Assistant or related field
• One to three years of experience in Orthopedics preferred
• Current PA or NP license in appropriate state
• NCCPA or registry with state nursing board, BLS, DEA registry required

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of diagnosis and pharmacology
• Thorough skill in physical assessment and management of chronic illness
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• General computer knowledge
• Ability to work independently and collaborate as needed
