The Experienced Open Cut Underground worker for a given project assists the Utility Supervisor and crew to successfully complete utility installations. This role requires 3+/- years of previous experience in storm sewer, sanitary and watermain construction and reports directly to the Utility Supervisor.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Proven track record of consistent safe work practices including trench boxes, heavy structures, and other live utilities
- Ability to control grade and set pipe to proper elevations
- Ability to lift 75 pounds
- Ability to take direction and work together as a crew
- Ability to read and interpret project plans
- Responsible for good communication with crew to ensure quality installation of the pipes
- Strong attention to detail is required
- Familiarity with potholing for existing utilities
- Has a good understanding of the process and tools needed for utility construction
