About the role
The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) - Phantom Works organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Low Observables Mission Systems Integration Engineer to support an integrated product team in the design and integration of an advanced sensor for a next generation platform.
Responsibilities
- Lead the integration of a low observable sensor, ensuring compliance with design and performance requirements
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to develop and implement integration strategies for a critical platform sensor
- Utilize computational electromagnetic solvers to analyze and optimize low observable designs
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
- Oversee the design and integration of low observable sensors, ensuring alignment with program objectives and timelines
- Stay current with advancements in low observable materials and technologies, applying this knowledge to enhance system performance
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- Knowledge of Basic Electromagnetic Principles: Strong understanding of electromagnetic theory and its application in low observable systems
- Experience with Low Observable Integration: Proven experience in the integration of antennas and apertures in low observable platforms
- Computational Electromagnetic Solvers: Proficiency in using computational tools for electromagnetic analysis and design
- Antenna Design and Integration: In-depth knowledge of antenna design principles and integration techniques
- Low Observable Platforms: Experience in the design and integration of low observable platforms, including familiarity with relevant materials and technologies
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a related field (preferred)
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
