Experienced Linux/Unix/Solaris System Administrator

In this role, you’ll balance hands-on delivery with long-term strategic planning. From analyzing issues and testing solutions to automating processes and integrating across platforms, your work will touch every layer of IT infrastructure. You’ll collaborate with Architects, Technicians, and Project Managers, gaining broad exposure and continuous opportunities to grow your skills and influence.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and Solve
  • Diagnose complex issues across servers, networks, private cloud environments, and systems to identify root causes
  • Recommend solutions that balance technical feasibility, timelines, and customer priorities
  • Test, refine, and automate processes to improve reliability, efficiency, and repeatability
  • Assess risks proactively and implement strategies to prevent disruptions
• Design and Integrate
  • Plan end-to-end infrastructure solutions across platforms and technologies
  • Integrate systems in hybrid cloud and on-prem environments to ensure seamless operation
  • Automate workflows and processes to streamline delivery and reduce errors
  • Document architectures and procedures for hand-offs, knowledge sharing, and operational continuity
• Collaborate and Deliver
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including Architects, Project Managers, and Technicians
  • Drive project delivery from initiation to completion with attention to quality and timelines
  • Communicate technical solutions clearly to customers and stakeholders
  • Build customer confidence by delivering tangible, high-impact results
• Grow and Advance
  • Expand technical expertise across private cloud platforms, enterprise IT systems, and emerging technologies
  • Earn certifications and qualifications while applying them on real projects
  • Pursue career paths toward Architect or Distinguished Engineer roles

Requirements

• In-depth High-Performance Computing with expertise in Solaris administration, automation scripting, Red Hat Satellite, and Supermicro hardware
• Enterprise IT experience
• Hands-on experience in the following:
  • High-Performance Computing (HPC) Support
  • Supermicro Hardware and Solaris Systems
  • Scripting and Automation
  • Red Hat Satellite Expertise
• In-depth knowledge of Linux/UNIX/Solaris Operating Systems

Preferred Skills

• Familiar with a variety of IT concepts, practices, and procedures
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
• Logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
