Experienced Line Technician - Long Beach BMW

Job Description

The Automotive Technician at Long Beach BMW is responsible for reconditioning vehicles to the highest standards. They perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, examine vehicles and diagnose necessary repairs, communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts, document work performed, road-test vehicles when required or refer to the test technician, maintain high safety and quality standards, understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations, and possess manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy
• Examine vehicle and diagnose necessary repairs
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts
• Document work performed
• Road-test vehicles when required or refer to the test technician
• Maintain high safety and quality standards
• Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes

Qualifications

• BMW experience is required
• At least 3 years of previous Automotive Technician experience
• Own a set of tools
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
• High school diploma or the equivalent
• Manual dexterity

Pay

The pay scale for the Automotive Technician position at Long Beach BMW consists of the following elements and ranges: Base Hourly Compensation of between $33.80 and $51.00.
