Experienced K9 Detection Handler - Alabama

About the role

Global K9 Protection Group LLC is seeking a dedicated and passionate Detection Canine Handler to join our elite team. This role is essential to our mission of delivering world-class canine detection services to our clients across the country.

Responsibilities

• Partner with a trained Elite Detection Canine to conduct searches of all vehicles entering or parked on facility grounds
• Screen vendors, staff, and visitors at entry points for narcotics and prohibited items
• Perform proactive sweeps of parking lots, perimeters, and exterior delivery areas
• Transport yourself and your canine to/from client locations using your personal vehicle
• House and care for your assigned canine when off duty
• Maintain accurate training records and documentation in GlobalView platform
• Ensure up-to-date canine health records and monthly preventatives are maintained
• Liaise with client managers, law enforcement, and other stakeholders
• Be available for emergency response, demonstrations, and standby duty (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
• Follow all SOPs and SOWs during operational searches and training

Requirements

• Must have a dependable personal vehicle
• Must be able to house and care for a working canine
• Ability to perform tasks accurately with minimal oversight
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
