About the role
At Muretti, we create exceptional living environments through luxury Italian kitchens, closets, bathrooms, architectural millwork, and bespoke cabinetry. As we continue expanding across New York, Turks & Caicos, and the Cayman Islands, we're seeking an experienced Interior Designer to join our Manhattan showroom — ready to start Monday, September 28, 2026. This is an experienced role (not senior): real project ownership with clients, designers, and architects — from consultation through selections and drawings.
Responsibilities
- Lead client consultations in the showroom and manage relationships from first meeting through final sign-off.
- Produce space plans, cabinetry layouts, and technical drawings for custom Italian kitchens, closets, and interior systems.
- Guide clients through curated finish, material, and fabric selections, presenting Muretti’s selection-based approach with confidence.
- Coordinate closely with Italian suppliers and internal operations on specifications, lead times, and order accuracy.
- Prepare quotes, proposals, and revisions; track project scope and budget.
- Partner with the showroom and installation team to ensure a smooth handoff from design to delivery.
Requirements
- 4–7 years of professional interior design experience, ideally in high-end residential, kitchen, or cabinetry work.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating client-facing project ownership from concept to completion.
- Proficiency in CAD / drawing software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, or comparable) and space planning.
- Excellent client communication and presentation skills; comfortable selling a curated, selection-based product.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred, but not required with applicable experience.
- Experience with luxury design brands or premium residential showrooms such as Poliform, Boffi, Molteni&C, Minotti, Porcelanosa, Poggenpohl, RH, or similar luxury interior brands is encouraged.
- Experience collaborating with architecture firms, interior design studios, or luxury residential developers is highly valued.
Benefits
- Opportunity to work on prestigious residential projects across New York and the Caribbean.
- A collaborative environment where design excellence, craftsmanship, and client relationships are at the center of everything we do.
Pay
- Competitive base salary: $70,000–$80,000.
- Performance-based commission potential on closed projects.
Schedule
- Start date: Monday, September 28, 2026 (or as soon as available).
- Employment type: Full-time, on‑site.
- Location: 134 West 25th Street, New York, NY.
