Experienced Handyman / Home Repair Contract - South-East Atlanta Area-

House Doctors of South Dekalb is seeking experienced, dependable home repair professionals to join our network of independent contractors serving customers throughout Southeast Atlanta.

About the role

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced handyman or tradesperson who can receive a project scope, arrive prepared, evaluate typical field conditions, and complete quality residential repairs independently and efficiently. We provide the customers and project opportunities; you provide the experience, craftsmanship, tools, and professionalism.

This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity, not a salaried or W-2 employee position.

Pay

$30–$40 per hour, based on demonstrated experience, skill level, versatility, and productivity. The upper end of the range is intended for highly experienced contractors who can independently complete a broad range of residential repair and improvement projects to professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Drywall repair and finishing
• Interior and exterior carpentry
• Door and lock installation and repair
• Deck, porch, railing, and fence repairs
• Trim and molding installation
• Flooring repairs and installation
• Painting and surface repairs
• Fixture and hardware installation
• General home maintenance
• Punch-list and small renovation projects
• Troubleshooting and repairing common residential issues

The ideal contractor is comfortable working across multiple trades, not just one specialty.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on residential repair, remodeling, construction, or property-maintenance experience
• Ability to complete projects independently with minimal supervision
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Professional-quality workmanship
• Ability to accurately assess the materials and tools needed for a project
• Good time management and job-site organization
• Clear, professional communication with homeowners and our office
