Experienced General Manager - Mixed-Use Development
Position Details
The General Manager assumes full responsibility for ensuring a positive working environment, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the entire development, and providing the highest level of service for our residents, prospects, and customers. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in property management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering luxury experiences.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the residential and retail spaces, ensuring all facilities are well-maintained and operating efficiently.
- Partner with your Facilities Manager to ensure property site conditions are in good working order with excellent curb appeal.
- Manage relationships with vendors and contractors, negotiate contracts, and oversee the quality of services provided.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, building codes, and safety standards, implementing and overseeing safety protocols, emergency procedures, and risk management initiatives.
- Foster strong relationships with residents, office tenants, and retail partners, addressing their needs promptly and ensuring high satisfaction levels.
- Maintain an open-door policy to provide outstanding customer service and build lasting relationships.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of maintenance and leasing associates, as well as support personnel, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- Lead sales with continuous involvement in the leasing process including leasing apartment homes yourself, renewing leases, developing your team’s skills, marketing your community, and monitoring market conditions.
- Develop and manage budgets, financial reports, and forecasts. Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to maximize profitability. Drive financial results to achieve IMT’s income and expense goals.
- Adhere to Fair Housing laws, regulations, and IMT’s policies and procedures.
- Perform bookkeeping and financial tasks including rent collection, delinquency, move-out statements, and financial and variance reports.
- Additional projects and/or duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Multi-family housing management experience
- Experience overseeing mixed-use communities with both residential and retail operations preferred
- ARM or CAM designation preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Property Management, or a related field preferred
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, financial reporting, and operating expenses
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and overall property operations
- The ability to connect with a variety of people and successfully lead, develop, and motivate a team
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while managing competing priorities
- The ability to work well independently and make sound business decisions
- A positive attitude with a desire to learn, grow, and continuously develop your skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, MRI, OpsTechnology, SuiteSpot, and other property management software, along with the ability to quickly learn new technologies
- Active and valid driver's license is required
Benefits
Pay - $110,000.00-$130,000.00/yr. depending upon skills and experience related to the role
