Experienced Field Maintenance Technician (3+ Years Required)

Property Management Jobs · Atlanta, GA · 2 wk ago
Management$24–$27/hrFull-time

About the Role

Field maintenance at a tech-enabled property services company operates differently than a traditional apartment maintenance role. Instead of being tied to a single asset or a handful of buildings, you're working across a portfolio, managing your own work orders through a platform that tracks scope, completion, and quality at scale. Lessen runs more than 3.5 million work orders annually across over one million properties, so the infrastructure around you is substantial. Your job is to show up as a skilled technician who can own the work from diagnosis to close-out without needing a supervisor to walk you through it.

Responsibilities

  • Own work orders independently from diagnosis to close-out, including budget accountability
  • Perform general repairs and maintenance across a portfolio of properties
  • Prioritize quality over volume while managing work orders
  • Troubleshoot issues and communicate clearly with property owners and managers
  • Manage time efficiently across multiple sites and work orders

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of verifiable, hands-on experience in property maintenance or a related trade
  • Comfortable working independently without direct supervision
  • Solution-oriented approach to repairs and property condition issues
  • Strong time management and ability to switch gears efficiently across multiple sites
  • Experience in third-party, fee management, or scattered single-family/small multifamily maintenance is a plus

Benefits

  • Company fleet vehicle and fuel card provided
  • Tool and equipment allowance of $50 per month
  • $50 cell phone allowance
  • OSHA training provided
  • $1,500 sign-on bonus
  • Quarterly discretionary bonus eligibility up to 5% of quarterly earnings
  • No on-call rotation; weekday schedule

Pay

Pay range starting at $24 to $27 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.

What Sets Strong Candidates Apart

The technicians who thrive in a portfolio model like this one tend to have strong time management habits and a clean track record on work order completion. Because you're not anchored to one property, you need to carry context about multiple sites and switch gears efficiently. Atlanta's rental market continues to expand, and Lessen's national growth trajectory means this market will likely see increasing workload and opportunity for technicians who perform consistently.
