Responsibilities

• Install and remove telemanipulators (TMs)
• Troubleshoot issues associated with TMs
• Perform routine maintenance to a strict preventative maintenance schedule
• Work closely with a Senior Specialist who oversees the RML's Telemanipulator program
• Support and extend the mission of the RML Operations Unit

Requirements

Candidates must meet one of the following education/experience combinations:

• High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
• Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
• Journeyman’s papers in a related field and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
• Qualification as a Naval Nuclear Propulsion Operator (or commercial nuclear equivalent) and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience

Additionally, the candidate must obtain and maintain radiological, safety, and industrial hygiene skills and qualifications necessary to execute radiological work per Technical Work Documents.

• Experience repairing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems or components
• Self‑driven
• Ability to work to technical work documents to maintain verbatim compliance
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
