Experienced Engineer - Operational Technology
About the role
The Engineering – Multidiscipline role at Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS) performs engineering work in operations, production, construction, or maintenance environments. Responsibilities include developing process models, designing and scaling up manufacturing processes, interfacing with laboratory instrumentation, and providing cyber security for industrial control systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop process modeling or computer simulations
- Develop new applications or maintain/ enhance existing applications
- Provide custom interfaces with laboratory instrumentation and configure Laboratory Information Systems (LIMS)
- Design and develop new applications for Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS) to interface with process instrumentation
- Work with ORACLE or SQL databases
- Provide Cyber Security for Industrial Control Systems
Requirements
Qualifications vary based on career level:
- P3: Bachelor's degree in an engineering or relevant field plus at least five years of experience (YOE)
- P4: Bachelor's degree in an engineering or relevant field plus at least ten years of experience (YOE)
- P5: Bachelor's degree in an engineering or relevant field plus at least fifteen years of experience (YOE)
Qualifications
Qualifications vary based on career level:
- P3: Master's degree in relevant field plus at least two years of experience (YOE), or Doctoral degree in relevant field
- P4: Master's degree in relevant field plus at least eight years of experience (YOE), or Doctoral degree in relevant field
- P5: Master's degree in relevant field plus at least twelve years of experience (YOE), or Doctoral degree in relevant field
Skills
Advanced knowledge of discipline's standard theories, concepts, principles and techniques. Working knowledge of pertinent engineering practices and applications.
