Experienced Discretionary Macro Markets Trader

What you’ll do

• Manage your own trading book with a focus on trading liquid macro futures
• Manage your own risk of a portfolio of active strategies and drive trading decisions
• Analyze market trends, order flow, and technical patterns to identify trading opportunities
• Develop, test, and refine your trading strategies using historical data and real-time market conditions
• Continuously monitor market conditions, news, and macroeconomic events
• Maintain oversight of material changes in levels of risk and variance in PnL, especially focusing on deviations from your plans, and proactively communicate these changes to leadership

What we’d like to see

• Experience trading liquid macro futures
• Proven track record independently managing a PnL, or being a senior member of the team, driving strategy in a larger environment
• Larger bank environment or similar experience with significant decision-making autonomy
• A defined discretionary macro edge such as outcome distribution analysis, news and narrative interpretation, relative value frameworks, or portfolio construction discipline
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a competitive nature
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work both autonomously and as a team player
• Quant skills and data literacy are a plus but not required. Openness to feedback and willingness to adapt your trading style with changes in market conditions
• 3 years or more of verified, risk-adjusted profitability

Pay

The approximate annual base compensation range for this position in White Plains, New York is $72,000 to $120,000 + percent share of the profits you generate. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package plus benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including but not limited to the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities; geographic location; and internal equity.
