Experienced Diesel Technician - with CDL

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and perform visual inspections
• Remove parts and attachments
• Perform warranty repairs
• Execute preventative maintenance services
• Repair lights and wiring
• Weld, cut, and perform other repairs

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Three years of prior dealer experience or seven years total diesel experience
• Fluent in software such as Davie, Cummins, Service Ranger, and Bendix
• Experience in Cummins claim filing
• Understanding of warranty coverage requirements and ability to access warranty coverage
• Experience in engine reconditioning - in frame and out of frame
• Ability to perform electrical diagnostics, clutch, brake, wheel seal, P.M. services, DOT, and associated paperwork
• Mechanical aptitude and technical ability
• Ability to operate power and hand tools and other equipment safely
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
• Professional dress and effective communication with customers, vendors, and other contacts

Qualifications

• Physically demanding position requiring standing for six to eight hours per shift
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle, and feel
• Ability to lift parts weighing up to 70 pounds several times during each shift
• Exposure to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials
