Experienced Diesel Mechanic

C & B Operations is a progressive company with over 35 years of growth, now encompassing 38 John Deere dealerships across six states. This role is based at our Sheridan, WY location.

About the role

Perform diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance on customer and dealer-owned agricultural equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostics and repairs on agricultural farm equipment
• Participates in required training programs to develop skills and knowledge
• Completes all job notes related to work assignments
• Accounts for all time via digital timecard and all material used
• Maintains current product knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
• Maintains a clean work area and performs work neatly and orderly
• Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment
• Promotes and sells service department offerings to customers, including service work, inspections, and parts
• Follows all safety procedures and works safely
• Assists with other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or better in Diesel Technology or related field (preferred)
• Ability to meet physical demands: sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Knowledge of repair methods, materials, tools, and techniques for machinery, engines, and related equipment
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Critical thinking and resourcefulness to complete tasks
• Willingness to learn and train in new technologies
• Ability to work overtime to meet customer demands
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug test and background check
