BPMI is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team. This position offers a competitive salary range of $88,000 - $166,300, commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and design data pipelines, warehouses, and integration strategies that ensure scalability, reliability, and compliance with BPMI standards.
- Analyze existing and future datasets for both technical and business functions.
- Develop and implement robust ETL processes to manage data movement across environments.
- Collaborate with data owners to scope problems and deliver solutions that improve engineering decision making and simplify business processes.
- Recommend improvements to database architecture and storage solutions based on performance, security, and future scalability needs.
- Troubleshoot complex data issues, perform root cause analyses, and resolve integration and quality problems proactively.
- Create visualization and graphic user interfaces using Power BI or code development.
- Innovate data engineering practices by introducing automation, orchestration, and monitoring tools that streamline operations.
- Create comprehensive documentation to ensure knowledge transfer and consistency.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, with 5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or similar roles. Experience with SQL, Python, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is required. Strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively are essential.
