About the Role

Our cooks prepare amazing and nourishing meals for our residents and ensure the highest quality standards of foodservice and the best culinary experience is provided at all times.

Responsibilities

• Create and review menus in collaboration with the Dietary Director
• Prepare food according to established portion control procedures, sanitary regulations, and policies
• Coordinate food production to align with meal serving times
• Auxiliary tasks such as tray line setup and plate assembly
• Assist with daily cleaning requirements in the kitchen
• Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in interactions with residents, their families, and visitors

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer skills
• At least 2 years of related food experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility
• Strong knowledge of food procedures
• Experience in a Long Term Care facility is highly desirable
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering Excellent, Passionate, Innovative care
• Team player dedicated to supporting team members and getting the job done

Qualifications

• Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
• Must have reliable transportation
