Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to recipes, portioning, and presentation standards.
- Independently manage assigned stations during service based on experience level.
- Execute intermediate to advanced cooking techniques consistently and efficiently.
- Complete daily prep, station setup, and breakdown.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
- Support service execution during peak periods and assist other stations as needed.
- Follow FIFO, labeling, storage, and food safety procedures.
- Absorb and communicate effectively with kitchen leadership and team members.
- Identify and report equipment issues, shortages, or safety concerns.
- Support training and mentoring of less-experienced cooks as appropriate.
- Uphold Black Desert Resort’s ultra-premium culinary and service standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2–6+ years of professional kitchen experience in upscale, hotel, or resort dining.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to execute service independently and maintain station ownership.
- Experience working multiple stations and supporting service flow.
- Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and consistency.
- Team-oriented with clear communication skills.
- Culinary school or formal training preferred but not required.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
