At EdenHill Communities, our culinary team goes beyond traditional senior living dining. We focus on fun, flavorful, and elegant meals that feel more like a restaurant experience. We are currently seeking a Full-Time Cook to join our culinary team. This role is ideal for a cook who takes pride in presentation, enjoys engaging with guests, and wants their work to genuinely make someone’s day, without late nights or high-pressure service.
EdenHill Communities is a faith-based, not-for-profit community located on a beautiful 27-acre campus in New Braunfels, Texas, nestled between two rivers in the heart of the Hill Country. We’re known for warm hospitality, exceptional service, and a dining program that continues to evolve by bringing creativity, variety, and elevated experiences to our residents every day.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Prepare and cook menu items with a strong focus on quality, flavor, and presentation
- Execute recipes and daily production schedules to ensure smooth and timely service
- Support creative and themed dining experiences that bring excitement to the table
- Ensure meals meet dietary needs while still looking and tasting great
- Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen organization
- Monitor service lines for accuracy, consistency, and visual appeal
- Receive and inspect food deliveries for quality and freshness
- Properly portion, plate, and garnish meals
- Communicate positively with residents and teammates as front-of-house connection matters here
- Model EdenHill’s hospitality-driven culture in every interaction
- Assist with other duties as needed
Requirements
We are looking for someone with previous experience as a Line Cook, Baker, Prep Cook or similar culinary role. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking that goes beyond basic production, strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and detail, and a team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.

Pay
Hourly Pay: $15.50 - $19.00 per hour, with starting pay up to $19.50 per hour based on relevant experience. Sign on bonus of $1000.
Schedule
8-12 hour shifts, with no late nights.
