Experienced Climbing Arborist

Responsibilities
- Trim and remove trees, remove unwanted, diseased or dying limbs on trees, or to affect the health and safety of trees or surrounding areas
- Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients
- Install cables, bracing and lightning protection systems
- Remove hazardous trees
- Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more
Requirements
- Love of the outdoors
- PREFERRED: Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights
- PREFERRED: Class A or B CDL
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
- Ability to complete the Davey first aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
- PREFERRED: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
Skills
- Strong physical fitness and stamina
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of tree biology and arboriculture

Pay
Hourly pay from $22.00 - $29.00 based on experience
Schedule
Full-time position with up to 25% travel expectations
