About the role

Nurse Assistants at Lurie Children's play a crucial role in the pediatric care team, providing compassionate and top-quality patient care. They assist in various tasks such as taking and documenting vital signs, assisting with medical procedures, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming families to the ambulatory clinic area
• Taking and documenting vital signs
• Assisting with point of care testing
• Supporting medical procedures
• Ensuring medical equipment is stocked and in good condition
• Disposing of medical waste properly
• Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of patient rooms
• Making patient rounds in a timely manner

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Successful completion of an accredited CNA Program
• Current certification as a CNA in the State of Illinois, active/good standing
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association
• One year experience in an acute care hospital setting is strongly preferred

Qualifications

Pay

The pay range for this job indicates a minimum and maximum target for the position. Ranges are regularly reviewed to stay aligned with market conditions. In addition to base salary, Lurie Children’s offer a comprehensive rewards package that may include differentials for some hourly employees, leadership incentives for select roles, health and retirement benefits, and wellbeing programs.

Schedule

This position is available for Nightshift and every third weekend.
