Experienced Catastrophe Claims Representative

About the role

The position requires the person to Be available for frequent travel up to 21 days at a time. Travel is required upon short notice to location of catastrophe, which would most likely be out of state.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and assemble facts, determine policy coverage, evaluate the amount of loss, analyze legal liability and pay or deny losses.
• Be familiar with insurance coverage by studying insurance policies, endorsements, and forms.
• Work towards the resolution of claims, possibly attending arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials as necessary.
• Ensure that claims payments are issued in a timely and accurate manner.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 2 years claims handling experience or comparable experience
• Field claims experience with multi-line property and casualty claims and wind/hail
• Proficient with Xactimate software
• Above average communication skills (written and verbal)
• Possess a valid driver’s license

Pay

The anticipated annualized starting base pay range is: $50,000.00 - $88,800.00. Other components of the compensation package include benefit dollars used to purchase certain benefits and several bonus opportunities.

Schedule

The ability to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship is a requirement.
