Experienced Carpenter
Kitchen Tune-Up is looking for an experienced, skilled carpenter / cabinet installer to join our growing remodeling team in Beaufort, SC. We need a true craftsman who takes pride in their work, has excellent attention to detail, and can independently perform high-quality cabinet installation, cabinet modifications, finish carpentry, and general kitchen remodeling work.
About the Role
This is a full-time position for an experienced carpenter and/or cabinet installer. The ideal candidate will be able to step onto a jobsite, understand the work that needs to be accomplished, and complete it professionally, accurately, and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Install, level, align, and secure kitchen cabinetry
- Perform cabinet modifications and custom fitting in the field
- Install and modify base, wall, and pantry cabinets
- Install crown molding, light rail, toe kicks, shoe molding, fillers, finished panels, and trim
- Perform detailed finish carpentry
- Install and adjust cabinet doors and drawer fronts
- Install and adjust soft-close hinges and drawer slides
- Install knobs, pulls, and other cabinet hardware
- Install rollout trays and cabinet storage accessories
- Accurately measure, cut, fit, and make field adjustments
- Read measurements and basic plans/layouts
- Troubleshoot installation challenges and develop practical solutions
- Perform general kitchen remodeling and punch-list work
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite
Requirements
- Experienced carpenter and/or cabinet installer
- Dependable and punctual
- Detail-oriented with pride in craftsmanship
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional and respectful when working inside customers' homes
- Comfortable communicating with customers, coworkers, and project management
- Able to maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Able to perform the physical requirements associated with kitchen remodeling and cabinet installation
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
Tools & Transportation
Kitchen Tune-Up provides the tools required to perform the job. Experienced carpenters are also welcome to use their own personal tools when preferred.
Schedule
- Full-Time Position
- Monday–Friday
- Weekends Off
Pay
$20–$30 per hour, based on experience and skill level
