About the role

Visiting Angels is hiring experienced caregivers and CNAs to provide compassionate, one-on-one, non-medical care to seniors in Summerville and surrounding areas, including Dorchester, Berkeley, and Charleston Counties. If you enjoy helping seniors remain safely and independently in their own homes, we'd love to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and transfers
• Provide medication reminders
• Prepare light meals according to dietary needs
• Provide transportation to shops, pharmacies, and appointments when needed
• Perform light housekeeping related to client care
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Follow individualized care plans and safety procedures
• Observe and report changes in client condition

Requirements

• One year of professional in-home caregiving experience preferred
• CNA, HHA, PCA, or experienced caregiver experience welcome
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Dependable, respectful, compassionate, and professional
• Ability to remain calm in emergency situations
• Ability to follow client care plans
• Must pass required background and drug screening
• Experience with Hoyer lifts, wheelchairs, transfer benches, walkers, and other DME is a plus
