Experienced Caregiver / Home Care Aide

Caregiver Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, respectful, and personalized care
• Absorb clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
• Provide safe transportation to appointments, errands, and activities
• Prepare and serve meals according to client preferences and dietary requirements
• Absorb light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a clean living environment
• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities
• Follow each client's individualized plan of care
• Observe and report changes in a client's condition
• Complete accurate care notes and documentation after each shift
• Follow HIPAA requirements and maintain client confidentiality
• Arrive on time and provide dependable care for every scheduled shift

Caregiver Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Reliable and insured vehicle
• Current CPR certification
• Current negative TB test or chest X-ray
• Active registration with the California Home Care Aide Registry
• At least one year of professional caregiving, home care, personal care, or related experience preferred
• Ability to safely assist clients with mobility and activities of daily living
• Dependable, compassionate, professional, and detail-oriented
• Ability to communicate clearly with clients, families, and the BrightStar Care team
