Experienced Cake Decorator

About the role

Responsible for preparing and decorating products for delivery to the store locations. General knowledge of cake decorating: icing, writing with icing, and making roses. Follow safe, sanitary food handling policy to prevent contamination and food borne illnesses.

Responsibilities

• Works under close supervision
• Repetitive work that is clearly defined, manual jobs
• Impacts own work
• Clean work areas, take out trash, mop floors, restock packaging and labels
• Varies according to production needs, occasionally may have to work in other production areas

Requirements

• Basic math and reading skills, ability to follow directions and work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible work schedule, weekend availability, occasional Tuesday, Sunday, and holidays are required
• Ability to lift up to 30+ lbs
• Read and understands pass-out sheets along with understanding Special Orders
• Be able to work independently and with others
• Requires constant bending, stretching, pulling/pushing and good eye/hand coordination, repetitive wrist motion
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)

Qualifications

• No experience required
• Decorating experience preferred

Pay

Starting Wage: $17.00-$19.00 (based on experience)

Schedule

• Start Time normally 6am with some close shifts of 9am-5:30pm
• Monday, Wednesday-Saturday (Sunday and Tuesday Off)
• Overtime frequent and required
• Schedule may change on production needs and holidays

Environmental Conditions

• Exposed to constant indoor temperatures of 75 degrees or higher, freezer temperatures of 32 degrees or below
• Noise: loud machines
• Chemicals: cleaning solutions
