About the role
We are a local tax and accounting practice seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper/Junior Accountant to join our small, friendly team.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaising with clients and responding to bookkeeping enquiries
- Coding transactions and understanding Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet accounts
- Auxiliary in the preparation of income tax returns for individuals, businesses (partnerships, trusts & companies) and superannuation funds
- Assistance with the preparation of BAS (Business Activity Statements)
Key Requirements
- Proven experience working as a bookkeeper or junior accountant
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Reckon, BGL, Intuit, Xero, MYOB)
- Strong attention to detail and good time-management skills
