Experienced biomedical grant and technical writer
We are seeking an experienced biomedical grant and technical writer with a proven track record for freelance projects.
About the role
This is a telecommute contract position for an MS or PhD-level biomedical scientist transitioned into grant writing. You will work from home, using your own computer with internet access and Microsoft Word. Communication is via email, text, phone, Google Meet, and our project management system. You must be available for scheduled kickoff calls, update meetings, and debrief calls with clients during regular business hours (typically a few hours per week).
Responsibilities
- Write medical research grants, small business grants, and pharma IME grants, including but not limited to:
- NIH R01, R21, R33, UG3, K23
- SBIR/STTR
- Pharma IME grants
- Complete other technical writing projects such as:
- Journal publications
- White papers
- Protocols
- IRB applications
Requirements
- Must have or be working on an MS, PhD, MD, PharmD, or similar medical/biomedical degree
- Minimum of 5 NIH grant proposals or a minimum of 10 publication samples to demonstrate experience
- Highest level of US English proficiency
- Reliable and deadline-driven
- Mature and friendly demeanor
