About the role
MediaNet AV is a dynamic, innovative company providing professional audio, video, and lighting solutions. The AVL Installation Technician plays a key role in supporting installation projects, training clients post-installation, and providing ongoing support as they use AVL systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site technical reviews before installation to create custom training guides for clients, including churches and businesses.
- Review system designs and Statements of Work (SOWs) for project preparation.
- Program system components, particularly Q-SYS, Extron, Nyquist and IP products (i.e. Dante, Netgear), as part of the installation setup.
- Configure rack enclosures, cable management, and equipment as per system design at MediaNet AV’s office.
- Thoroughly review system designs for functionality and accuracy, preparing documentation and configurations based on design analyses.
- Aid with cable scheduling, planning, and on-site installation tasks to ensure project accuracy.
- Complete installation task list, which may include but is not limited to: Project Preparation, Cable Management, Installation Tasks, Inventory Management, Customer Communication, Rack Configuration, and Post-Installation Duties.
- Read and execute detailed project schematics and cable schedules to document cable paths and connections accurately.
- Provide comprehensive system training to clients, including detailed checklists and troubleshooting resources for ease of use.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong technical skills with experience in AV installations, including IP systems and cable management.
- Effective communication skills for client training and technical support.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Detail-oriented and proactive in ensuring client satisfaction.
