About The Role

Superior Performance Auto is looking for an experienced Automotive Technician who takes pride in their work, enjoys problem-solving, and values a team-focused environment. This role is ideal for a strong B-level technician through A-level technician who wants to continue growing their skills while also supporting and mentoring others on the team.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform a wide range of automotive repairs and services, from general service through engine swaps and repairs.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns accurately and efficiently.
  • Complete thorough digital vehicle inspections on every assigned vehicle.
  • Perform major repairs including (but not limited to): Engine repairs and diagnostics, Timing belts and chains, Medium to major electrical repairs, Water pumps and bolt-on repairs.
  • Assist and support other technicians with diagnostics, repairs, and skill development as needed.
  • Build accurate repair tickets and documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Collaborate with service advisors during vehicle check-ins when needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years of hands-on automotive repair experience.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience performing advanced mechanical and electrical repairs.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment.
  • Comfortable using scan tools and modern diagnostic equipment.
  • Desire to keep learning and growing with industry advancements.

Required

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Your own toolbox and tools.
  • ASE certifications preferred (not required).

Bonus Skills (Not Required, But a Plus)

  • Focus in European vehicles.
  • Advanced diagnostics: electrical, computer body control systems, noise/vibration.
  • Internal engine or transmission repair experience.
  • Ability to navigate multiple diagnostic software platforms.
  • Experience mentoring or training other technicians.

Work Schedule & Environment

  • 4-day work week.
  • No weekends.
  • Workday ends at 6:00 PM.
  • State-of-the-art equipment and diagnostic software provided.
  • Weekly team meetings where every voice matters.
  • Weekly one-on-one check-ins with leadership.
