Experienced Automotive Service Technician/Mechanic
About the role
Mercedes-Benz of Thousand Oaks is a dealership that specializes in luxury vehicles. The position is for a technician with 2+ years of experience, preferably in a luxury brand such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Lexus, Volvo, Land Rover, or similar.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair vehicles across a full range of systems
- Perform multi-point inspections and develop accurate repair plans
- Communicate findings clearly to service advisors to support guest authorization
- Execute repairs to manufacturer specifications with speed, accuracy, and zero shortcuts
- Complete repair orders accurately and efficiently, documenting all work performed and parts used with precision
- Stay current on Mercedes-Benz technical service bulletins, software updates, and evolving repair procedures
- Perform test drives to validate diagnostic conclusions and confirm repair quality before vehicle return
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation that reflects the standard of the Mercedes-Benz brand
- Contribute to a shop culture where quality, accountability, and craftsmanship are the baseline
Requirements
- Strong diagnostic foundation
- Absent a low comeback rate and a personal standard for quality that doesn't require managing
- Physically capable of performing the demands of the role, including lifting, bending, and standing throughout the shift
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- A craftsmanship mindset, taking pride in every repair that leaves your bay
Qualifications
- ASE certifications a strong plus, but not required
- Comfortable with dealer diagnostic platforms, such as XENTRY, STAR, or equivalent luxury brand diagnostic experience considered
Skills
- Technician experience in a luxury brand
- Diagnostic skills applicable to Mercedes-Benz
- Ability to work through multi-system problems methodically and accurately

OTE of $50,000 - $150,000/yr, with your speed, skill, and certifications driving your earnings. A progressive pay plan increases your rate based on Mercedes-Benz factory certifications and tenure. Consistent flat-rate hours and real earning potential
