Benefits Of The Auto Glass Technician Position $27.00 - $32.00/hour dependent upon experience Up to a $1,500 monthly performance bonus Monday - Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, with a 30 minute lunch. Responsibilities of the Mobile Auto Glass and Diagnostic Technician position: Inspect, repair, remove, replace, and install automotive windshields and other vehicle glass. Prepare vehicle surfaces and properly apply adhesives, moldings, clips, sensors, and related materials. Perform static, dynamic, and other ADAS calibrations in accordance with manufacturer and company procedures. Operate diagnostic, scanning, and calibration equipment. Coordinate glass and calibration assignments with G&C Auto Body locations. Communicate with shop personnel regarding schedules, vehicle readiness, parts, delays, and service needs. Source and coordinate windshields, parts, and related materials. Complete accurate invoices, calibration records, photos, and other required documentation. Identify additional glass, calibration, and diagnostic service opportunities. Safely operate and maintain the assigned company vehicle, tools, and equipment. Follow all safety, timekeeping, attendance, and company procedures. Requirements of the Automotive Glass and Diagnostic Technician position : At least two years of verifiable automotive glass repair and installation experience. Working knowledge of automotive glass removal, preparation, adhesives, moldings, and installation procedures. Basic knowledge of automotive repair operations. ADAS calibration experience preferred but not required; training may be provided. Strong communication, organization, customer service, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage a mobile schedule. Ability to use mobile devices, diagnostic software, email, and scheduling systems. Valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable to the company’s insurance carrier. Ability to maintain insurable driving status and travel throughout the assigned territory. Experience with heavy-duty or commercial vehicle glass, diagnostic equipment, ADAS systems, or industry certifications is preferred. Physical and Work requirements: This position requires regularly lifting, carrying, positioning, and installing automotive glass and calibration equipment; standing, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, and entering and exiting vehicles. Work is performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather, temperature, noise, traffic, and automotive repair conditions.The essential functions of the position must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation .
