EXPERIENCED ASSEMBLER

The Role

• Perform hydrostatic testing of components and assemblies in accordance with engineering requirements and test procedures.
• Operate magnetic base drills and other in‑place machining equipment to perform drilling, reaming, line boring, and tapping.
• Install and align industrial maritime machinery using engineering drawings and installation specifications.
• Read, interpret, and work from mechanical drawings and fabrication prints.
• Perform fabrication tasks including cutting, fitting, and grinding.
• Verify dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring equipment.
• Troubleshoot assembly issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area while complying with all safety and quality requirements.
• Assemble and disassemble mechanical components such as valves, gearboxes, doors, pumps, etc.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in assembly or outside machining.
• Ability to use precision instruments efficiently.
• Physical ability to lift objects up to 40 pounds and perform limited bending, standing, squatting, and climbing.
• Willingness to work any shift (multiple shift schedule).

Nice to Have

• Experience in naval, heavy industrial, or shipbuilding environments.
• Experience with machinery alignment.
• Familiarity with quality control and test records.

Pay

Salary range: $74,297.60 to $85,196.80 (estimated base pay; final compensation determined by experience, qualifications, and other job‑related factors).

Schedule

Full‑time, multiple shifts. Must be able to work any shift.
