About the role
The Private Capital Markets team at TD Securities advises companies and financial sponsors on raising private debt, hybrid capital and non-control equity for a variety of use cases. The Experienced Investment Banking Analyst in Private Capital Markets provides specialized financial and statistical analysis on a broad range of capital raise marketing and execution activities.
Responsibilities
- Affords assistance in executing live capital raise processes across private credit, private equity and hybrid capital, including active communication with management teams, investors and advisers.
- Develops tools to strengthen investor relationships, maintains investor-related databases and analyzes and collects market intelligence to enhance investor targeting efforts.
- Works within a deal team under the overall direction of a senior officer to coordinate and manage complex, time-sensitive processes.
- Affords assistance in the analysis of clients' capital structures, financial situation, industry and market data, capital raise opportunities and assesses valuations of private and public companies.
- Performs basic to intermediate financial modeling in Excel for returns analysis across various structured financial instruments.
- Drafts external client proposals and internal underwriting memos; assists in the preparation of client presentations based upon the above.
- Establishes an environment that promotes respect for the individual employee and adheres to the policies and guidelines of the Bank.
- Maintains confidentiality of client information.
- Affords assistance in recruiting and talent development for the team.
Requirements
An undergraduate degree in Business (Accounting or Finance) or Mathematics/Economics; Series 7, 79 and 63 is preferred. 1-3 years of related experience in investment banking, private equity or a related capital markets role. Demonstrated interest in private capital markets, structured transactions, direct investor work. Flexibility and desire to work in a high-paced environment, work across industries and be exposed to a broad range of complex financial instruments.

Pay
$110,000. - $135,000. USD TD is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation opportunities to all colleagues.
